Hi this is Edisha with http://www.byobtraining.com! We are going to discuss how to find the ideal nutrition and exercise plan for your body and mind then finish up with #BYOBT workout challenge. This week’s Be Your Own Boss in Health and Fitness tip is: Don’t Let the Stress of Workout Resolutions Keep You From Reaching Your Goals in 2015. It’s that time of year again! You is right! The gyms are crowded with sweat, bodies and you guessed it, New Year’s resolutions! However, this year, don’t feed into the hype! You might say, why whatever do you mean: #1 avoid the trash bag sweat suit #2. Do eat before you work out #3. Drink 20 ounces of water an hour before you work out. Finally, do all of these things so that you do not pass out. The last place you want to be is spread out on the floor in the cardio section of the gym with the EMS surrounding you during the highest traffic season of the year because of simple to dos that you didn’t do. Finding the ideal nutrition plan and exercise plan for you sounds difficult but is not hard. First thing you have to do is Think: What are my goals? Next is Plan: What do I like to eat? Lastly is, do a process of elimination: What can I replace this with that’s healthy but tastes good? For example, if your goal is to lose weight then plan to eat at least 3-6 small meals while swapping burgers for turkey burgers, substitute the bread on the burger with lettuce and tomato whatever condiments you choose and change the chocolate cake to dark chocolate bar or dark chocolate covered almonds which help curb your appetite and stimulate the metabolism. Trying to get those gains? Then eat about 2,000 more calories than you are currently eating with natural carbs like brown rice and lots of protein such as chicken breasts. Now you might ask, what is the best exercise routine for me? Here is what you should look to do when working out these next couple of months: when in group fitness pay attention to the instructor not the person next to you because that person is more than likely just as inexperienced or less experienced than you; when using exercise equipment follow the directions and imaging on the machine when in doubt consult with the nearest personal trainer for help; and when doing cardio do not exceed an hour and a half but do incorporate a small electrolyte dense drink. Finally, remember consistency is key not stupidity so slow down! How much less likely are you to reach your fitness goals from the hospital bed?
