This week’s Be Your Own Boss in Health and Fitness Tip is: You do not have to starve to get results you can see! The average fitness pro, model, athlete and/or competitor eats about every 3 hours, eating frequently throughout the day helps the digestive system stay active helping one to avoid a slowing metabolism. When going without food for long periods of time the body feels like it does not know when it’s next meal is going to be or if there will be a feed at all. So our bodies are trained for survival and this starvation mode put can put the body in survival mode hoarding food by storing it as fat. Here is a bonus tip meal plan:
A shake first thing in the morning

This week’s BYOBT workout challenge is: Prone Iso Abs
Lie on the floor with your elbows on the floor, your stomach relaxed on the floor. Place your feet hip width apart with your knees and toes on the floor.
Picture yourself pulling your belly button up to your back then Draw the abs in, squeeze your glutes.
Raise your knees off the ground so that only your elbows and toes are touching the ground ending in an exercise plank position with back flat should look like a table with your elbows and toes as the legs. Hold for 3 seconds come back down to starting positions relax stomach on the floor before your next rep.
Complete 4 sets of 12 repetitions with 45 seconds rest between each set.
Side Note: If you have little core strength you may do this with your knees on the floor lifting your torso up and coming back down. If you are advanced you may add in a leg raise at the top of each rep.
