New Years Workout Resolutions

Oh boy (sigh) it’s that time again. People are buying the cutest workout attire to a.) show off while performing the latest insane exercise at the gym b.) pick up a man/woman and c.)actually get in shape (some of you anyway) oh I almost forgot d.) just to say you got a New Years Resolution to workout go to the gym and they take all the pictures, then leave. Am I forgetting something? How about a personal trainer to show you are really committed. Perhaps you’d like to try a meal plan?  Is it okay to suggest a complete lifestyle change? It takes time but time IS what it takes. Not a “new years resolution” not a quick fix and certainly not just an outfit to post on Instagram or Facebook or both. What is wrong with a,b, and d is one could get seriously injured without proper supervision (I’ve heard of all the injuries from going too extreme too quickly over the years, trust me) b. it just does not always work out then when the relationship doesn’t work one or both of you decide to switch gyms or just not workout for fear of seeing the other person, yes I’ve seen “grown people” do this and d. your follow-up pictures 6 months later look the exact same or worse. You didn’t tone up, lose weight, gain muscle nothing. Need I say the word everyone hates? COMMIT. Be Your Own Boss in health and fitness #BYOBT. That’s right this New Years Workout Resolutions should be about commitment to yourself because you deserve it or don’t you think so? We’ll see.
