The Climb

The Climb

Ugh! Working out like brushing my teeth?! What I find as a trainer and athlete is, it never gets easy. In fact, if it requires no difficulty on your part then more than likely, you aren’t seeing desired results. I’m not saying, kill yourself, just challenge your potential. It must be on my mind daily. I know, Motivating right? The thing is that although exercising does not become a simple thing, it can become just like brushing your teeth. A lifestyle. Think about it. If we can instantly wake up, get out the bed, and brush our teeth so that our breath does not seem ferocious every single day, then why can’t we work out a minimum of 1 hour for 3 days per week? Do we not care the perception our bodies give of ourselves? Why isn’t an active lifestyle ingrained in our minds just as much as brushing our teeth? Do you think it would make being fit that much easier? You tell me. Unfortunately we tend to think about the climb (getting started) so much that it almost cripples us from starting. Have you ever mastered something in life that you didn’t start. So, instead of thinking about the climb, think about brushing your teeth and in the words of Nike, “Just Do It.”

Some people just lack the motivation to workout. But when you have a workout buddy it helps! Brushing your teeth keeps your healthy in so many ways as does exercising. 🙂

We tend to only want to be motivated when we see ourselves on the down end of being compared to someone else’s body. Then we make excuses to change our lifestyle such as during cost to much or I’m never able to make it to the gym. If you never start then you will never know. Nice write up!
